AMDEX to provide the Information Technology Security Support Services for the PSC
September 30, 2010 Silver Spring, Maryland – The Program Support Center (PSC) of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) selected AMDEX Corporation to provide Certification & Accreditation (C&A) Information Technology (IT) Security Support Services for the PSC & Office of the Secretary. PSC’s IT security program is a critical component in ensuring that PSC has a strong security program that fulfills the requirements of the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and other laws and regulations. The PSC Information Technology (IT) Security Certification and Accreditation (C&A) Business Program is focused on ensuring that PSC’s and its customers’ IT services and critical assets are appropriately protected.
Under this contract, AMDEX will assist the Director of PSC IT Security with developing seven certification and accreditation (C&A) packages in compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards, and Federal and Departmental policy for applications that support the administrative support and OS physical and emergency response office. This includes preparing the security plan, risk assessments, contingency (COOP) plans, and a plan of action & milestones. AMDEX will also assist in evaluating the overall IT C&A process for the PSC and its customers.
