AMDEX Wins Contract with Department of Transportation (DOT)

AMDEX to provide Program Support and Policy Development

September 21, 2010, Silver Spring, Maryland - The Department of Transportation has selected AMDEX Corporation to provide management and technical expertise to support the Office of International Transportation and Trade, whose charter is to provide leadership for the Department of Transportation’s international policy and program.  

AMDEX will conduct studies and analysis to assist in the formulation of international policies, developing position and background papers for use by senior officials, and monitor and coordinate program implementation among agencies and industry organization to resolve international transportation issues.  Based on its technical expertise, AMDEX will also develop initiatives to support the transfer of technology between the United States and other countries.
AMDEX will be assigned to handle some of the Presidential and Administration initiatives and short  turnaround issues to support directly or indirectly the needs of the DOT Secretary, and such other projects as supporting the DOT’s personnel in many ways including:

• Contributing to Iraq reconstruction and and stabilization activities that are forthcoming
• Supporting the U.S.-Africa Transportation Initiative
• Supporting ongoing commitments related to implementation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)
• Providing coordination of all international transportation issues related to Free Trade Agreements negotiated by the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR)
• Providing support for multiple international events of the DOT Secretary.
