July 11, 2011, Silver Spring, Maryland – The AHRQ Health IT Web Portal is part of the nation's strategy to put information technology to work in health care by developing electronic health records for most Americans and making health information available when and where it is needed.
AMDEX is tasked with three major components of the Health IT Web Portal, which are:
- Developing multiple portals using Web 2.0 Technologies
- Migrating the portal to an Open Source Content Management System (CMS)
- Optimizing the portal for mobile devices
- Redesigning the portal’s Graphical User Interface (GUI)
AMDEX’s extensive experience managing and developing web portals will be used to facilitate and improve communication between researchers by utilizing innovative technologies that will improve the quality of healthcare for all Americans while connecting researchers and providers.
